For the security patrolled building sector, previously only represented by the Junior Office Lock, DORMA-Glas have now come up with the newly-developed, robust Studio Rondo Lock. It combines ambitious design with high performance. The new lock complies with the requirements of the DIN 18 251 class 3 movement and is therefore suitable for property applications.
In keeping with these standards the lock is fitted with a rubber buffer which damps the sound of the steel catch as it slides home into the locked position: ensuring long-term reliability and quiet operation.
The introduction of a new adjustable compression spring means the force required for operation can be reduced by about 50%. This is particularly advantageous if the lock is used with a knob rather than a lever handle. At the same time, an appropriate spring setting ensures that the handle always comes to rest in the horizontal position.
A completely new body design is coming on stream very soon for all Studio Rondo locks.
